At Date My Mate. We run friend-powered dating events at pubs around Sydney — including the CBD, Surry Hills, North Sydney — where a mate pitches their single friend to the room, then everyone mingles. No apps, no swiping.
What happens at a Sydney Date My Mate night?
Doors from 6pm at a pub around the CBD or Surry Hills. The first half is the pitches — mates take the mic and pitch their single friend to the room off a short slide deck. Then a bar break, a second round, and from about 9pm the room opens up and everyone mingles. The venue bar usually keeps going after the formal part ends.
Is this a pitch-your-mate night in Sydney?
