MakeMyDate runs Date My Mate — a live in-person event where friends pitch their single mates to a room of singles at a pub. No swiping. No algorithm. Every person has been vouched for by someone who actually knows them.
The format
What happens at a Date My Mate night
Three to six people each present a short pitch deck about why their single friend is a catch. Pitches happen in front of a full room of singles at a participating pub, followed by long mingling and (usually) good drinks. It's part matchmaking, part comedy night, part really good pub night — built specifically as an antidote to swipe-fatigue.
